They run through the Hochkönig region over Dienten to Mühlbach. Tranquillity, crisp snow and incredible panoramic views of the breathtaking mountain world in the holiday region Maria Alm in Pinzgau will await you.

Cross-country skiing in high altitude

40 km cross-country ski trails run through the Hochkönig region in the Salzburger Land and will invite you to be active during a leisurely or enduring sports session. The cross-country ski trails can be used without registration and are snow-reliable thanks to the high altitude. You decide whether you prefer classic skiing or skating. You can also go night cross-country skiing in Maria Alm as a special extra.

Tobogganing

Tobogganing is just as much fun for adults as it is for children! Race down the snowy slopes on two runners and enjoy the thrill of a winter adventure. And if you fancy a little detour into the powder snow, even better! Around Maria Alm, you’ll find several toboggan runs, ranging from short, speedy descents to seemingly endless natural-snow trails.

Night tobogganing in Maria Alm

The nearest lighted tobogganing run can be found close to the hotel Lohningerhof. The natural toboggan run at the Jufen is 2.5 km long and well lighted.

Do you not have a sledge or a toboggan? No problem! You can rent a toboggan at the Jufenalm (against a fee) for one or more runs - they even have a mechanic break.
